Steven Neal has finished sculpting the enlarged panel of, "Ammon Teaches Lamoni" from the book of Alma within the Book of Mormon. The sculpture depicts the scene from Alma chapter 18, verses 12-14, "Therefore Ammon turned himself unto the king, and said unto him: What wilt thou that I should do for thee, O king? And the king answered him not for the space of an hour, according to their time, for he knew not what he should say unto him."

Neal stated, "I wanted to capture the king's expression as he searched within himself. How would this moment have been between Ammon and Lamoni? What would it have been like to have silence in the room for over an hour?" This scene is also right before Ammon presents the Plan of Salvation to the king. Neal had a recently returned LDS missionary model for Ammon, capturing what he thought a young Ammon would look like.
"Ammon Teaches Lamoni," will be sent to the foundry to begin the molding process.
