Farewell to Arms - Alma 24:11-15
"Now, my best beloved brethren, since God hath taken away our stains, and our swords have become bright, then let us stain our swords no more with the blood of our brethren."
The "Farewell to Arms" a 7x10 foot panel by Steven L. Neal, is completed and at the foundry in the molding stage. This panel is unique as it's divided by a shelf and through the shelf you can see the weapons deep in the ground. There is also much symbolism throughout the panel. Neal says, "Like an eagle heavenward making the oath of peace, they turn their back on the generals and demons of war and bury their weapons of war deep into the earth." There are also well-known generals hidden within the stone monoliths.
This panel is based on the painting "Farewell to Arms" that Neal painted some time ago.
