"Hands of Man – Old World" is completed

“It has been very exciting and important to me to create the life size version of the Hands of Man. Dr. Steven Neal asked me to create this piece seventeen years ago to complement his magnificent Christus sculpture, Other Sheep I Have, and I will be forever indebted to him. This is my opportunity to add my testimony to his that one day, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ," Michael A. Hall, artist.

The Hands of Man - Old World completed that last stage of production with the application of the patina. The patina, or surface layer, was uniquely formulated and applied by Hall and another artist, Bill Sturgis. A carefully crafted patina adds to the narrative and helps the viewer connect with the work on a deeper level.

This eight-person sculpture is one of our largest single groupings of figures in the park and depicts a group of worshipers at the Savior's feet in the Other Sheep I Have Fountain within the Christ in America Park.
