MOA Park Ground breaking Ceremony announced

Monument of the Americas is excited to announce the groundbreaking of its much-anticipated sculpture parks and gardens. The new inspired space is dedicated to our Savior Jesus Christ, the founding of the Americas and the Book of Mormon.

The ceremony will take place the end of May. The 12-acre Park’s location is above the UVU

Wasatch Campus (3111 College Way, Heber City), against the hills as its east boundary, and part of the newly designated Art District.

“We are thrilled to bring this vision to life,” said Steven L. Neal, Founder and President of

Monument of the Americas. “We believe this will be a destination attraction for Utah and

beyond, the largest of its kind in the United States. People can connect with the Savior and their American Heritage in an immersive way. This groundbreaking ceremony marks the rollout of a cultural and religious gem for our community.”

Governor Gary and Jeanette Herbert, Monument of the Americas Advisory Board Members, speak to one of the Parks largest statues and the first to be installed, “The Title of Liberty.” “Jeanette and I are excited about ‘The Title of Liberty’ statue and the wonderful contribution it will be to Utah’s patriotic and spiritual legacy. We support it and invite everyone to join in the effort to make it a reality.”

The ceremony will begin with a greeting from the master of ceremonies, Senator Gordon Smith, a flag ceremony, and speakers: Governor Gary Herbert, founding Board Member, John Hewlett, and Steven Neal. There will be a musical performance, a display of two large bronze sculptures on site, and a virtual tour of portions of the planned Gardens.
